This lesson invited kids to explore the story of stardust—how stars create the elements, how telescopes help us study colorful nebulae, and how those same elements live inside our bodies. They learned that calcium in bones, iron in blood, and carbon in life all began in stars. To bring it to life, the kids built their own “nebula jars” by layering painted cotton, turning science into a hands-on art project that let them imagine the future of stardust.
