Into the Future is a place where young people who have a passion for imagining, creating, and building can bring objects from their imagination to life. Each week, via our FutureTime lessons and design challenges, we journey together into a future filled with endless possibilities, created by the very hands of our aspiring world builders.

The Into the Future Experience uses an age-integrated ‘one-room’ schoolhouse model that is most aligned to 2nd - 4th graders. For parents of 1st and 5th grade students, please read on below for registration requirements.

2nd - 4th Graders
Our Into the Future Experience is designed for 2nd to 4th graders, catering to their unique imaginative abilities and love for exploration. Through hands-on, interactive projects, we help young people turn their ideas into reality, preparing them for a future where innovation is a key mindset.

1st Graders **
We offer a select number of slots for self-directed 1st graders who can independently design and build their projects with minimal guidance. Our program provides an age-integrated environment where younger learners collaborate with older kids, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.

To ensure a strong fit, 1st graders are required to attend at least two Into the Future programs (Day Camps, Saturday Night Events, or Summer Camp) before enrolling in our afterschool program. After attending, parents should reach out to us to discuss readiness and next steps before registering for a semester.

5th Graders **
We welcome 5th graders who are open to actively participating in an age-integrated setting and engaging with all students, including younger children. The expectation is that 5th graders will be engaged in our daily Future Time builds. Independent projects can be supported during our open play portions of time, as well as opportunities to take leadership roles as determined together.

Studio Lab for 5th-8th graders

At the ITF Studio Lab, 5th - 8th graders can create whatever inspires them, meet up with friends, and even contribute ideas and content to the expansion of Into the Future. Each young person will also develop and manage their own personal portfolio to highlight both process and project outputs!
