We learned how people survived extreme cold long ago, how explorers stay safe in icy places today, and how winter survival kits might change in the future. We explored smart materials, helpful tools, and creative ideas for staying warm, fed, and connected. Then we imagined and built our own future winter survival kits for a polar expedition.
