Future of Food & Farming:

Pizza

Winter 2026

We journeyed through time, witnessing how pizza began as a simple flatbread eaten by Greeks and Romans, became popular street food in 1700s Naples, and grew into a global favorite with science and technology behind it. We discovered how yeast makes dough rise, how special rocks like cordierite help cook pizza, and how machines can even make pizza today. Then we imagined and built our own Pizza of the Future — redesigning the ingredients, box, or accessories to make pizza healthier, more fun, and more sustainable!
