About Into the Future
Into the Future is an early stage learning media company helping kids (ages 6–11) imagine, design, and build the future. We create playful educational experiences across short-form video, interactive activities, printable “field guide” style content, and character-driven media.
Learning media content is originally developed for our local Brooklyn, NY storefront which serves as our community's creative building space.
We are expanding from place-based to digital content with the potential for wider reach.
In 2026, we will launch two media brands based on the follow digital assets:
FutureTime, a digital platform of activities that help kids—at home and in the classroom—play, learn, and build their way into the future. Current assets in development include:
You Choose:
An interactive branching story where every decision leads to a different future.Rock of the Day:
A digital feature that highlights a gem, mineral, or material as both a scientific subject and a springboard for imagination.FutureTime Quiz:
Self-directed digital activities where kids test their knowledge and curiosity on future-focused topics. The Build Book:
A digital gallery that showcases playful, imaginative craft creations for kids to explore and remix.Tomorrow Tribune:
A news-based forecasting and creative writing activity where kids use present-day news signals to craft headlines and stories as if they were journalists reporting from the future.
Our scheduled launch for version 1 of FutureTime is March 2026.The Parent’s Guide to the Future (Parent’s Guide) is a companion learning platform for parents and guardians who want practical, optimistic guidance for raising kids in a fast-changing world. We develop content and micro-courses that translate future-focused topics into simple, actionable tools and practices—helping families build resilience, agency, and healthier habits.
Our scheduled launch for the Parent’s Guide is late Summer 2026.
The Position: Learning Media Content Creator
We’re looking for a Learning Media Content Creator who can reliably produce derivative micro-content for FutureTime from our existing digital assets (videos, images, templates, character art, prompts, lesson/activity concepts), and create original content (e.g. YouTube Shorts; Reels) for FutureTime and Parent’s Guide as assigned and directed by their manager.
Our expectation is that most content will be AI-generated or use AI-assisted processes to evolve existing digital images, video and audio content. We expect the majority of content will be designed for short video platforms (e.g. YouTube Shorts; Reels; TikTok) and layered images.
This role is not for pure play animation, video editing or place-based video production.
This role is equal parts creative and operational: you’ll help us publish consistently without sacrificing quality or kid- and parent-appeal.
This role will report to our Director of Content & Curriculum.
What You’ll Do
1) Repurpose existing assets into micro-content (high-output)
Turn long-form lessons (FutureTime) or “core” assets (You Choose; The Tomorrow Tribune, The Build Book) into derivative original content (e.g. short videos; images; animated/motion graphics)
Create platform-ready variations (e.g., 9:16, 1:1, 16:9) with strong hooks and kid-friendly pacing.
Maintain a consistent publishing cadence with minimal oversight.
2) Develop original kid- and parent-friendly content when requested, based on defined goals and creative direction from their manager
Develop short-form educational content concepts aligned to ITF’s tone:
playful, curious, builder-minded.Produce scripts, storyboards, and simple narrative arcs for recurring formats
(e.g., “Build of the Week,” “What If…,” “Future Facts,” “Did You Know,” “Mini Challenges”).Collaborate with our team to translate ideas into clear, engaging kid-facing content.
3) Light character-driven media support
Help to develop and integrate our mascot/character(s) into content (simple 2D animation, puppet-based motion, or animated overlays)
4) Manage a repeatable CMS (content management system)
Maintain a lightweight content library: naming conventions, organized exports, version control, and reusable templates.
Create a simple “style + format guide” so ITF can keep producing even when you’re not in the loop.
Track what’s performing and propose iteration ideas (hooks, structure, formats).
What Success Looks Like (First 6–8 Weeks)
A small set of repeatable ITF content formats that can scale (3–5 series templates).
A reliable weekly flow: “core” assets turned into multiple micro-assets.
A clean asset pipeline (folders, templates, export settings, naming conventions).
Content that feels unmistakably ITF: playful, imaginative, future-facing, and build-oriented.
Required Skills and Learning Capabilities
Ability to to create and edit short-form content with strong pacing and hooks.
Comfort repurposing content quickly without it feeling repetitive or low-effort.
Strong taste: kid-appropriate tone, visual clarity, and high signal-to-noise editing.
Familiarity with and/or an enthusiastic capacity to learn emerging tools and AI technologies, including but not limited to:
Google / Gemini / Veo / AI Creative Studio Playground
ChatGPT (Pro)
ComfyUI - (for open source models - LTX-2)

‘Derivative’ Content from Existing Media Assets
This is an example ‘existing content’/asset from our school-based work.
Your role as Content Creator will be to take this type of single asset and develop 5-15 short-form content pieces.
These are derivative digital assets. You are repurposing content in unique and fun ways.
Example
Original Content - Example of AI Timelines
Using Generative AI to create original short-form video content. We are open to the type and genre of original content.
