Moving Into the Future: It’s Personal, It’s Professional, It’s Collective

Over the course of the year, Into the Future is hosting four intensives with CityAs students. The Moving Into the Future experience encourages students to think deeply about their ideas, their goals, and how they might build a network of likeminded friends and professional contacts.

During each intensive, students first explore how personal strengths, mindsets, and skillsets can guide the next steps of their journeys. Next, they envision how their goals might come to influence the world around them through a “The World Needs Our _______” poster campaign and hand-crafted models of future cities that reflect and celebrate their interests. Finally, students reflect on their personal values and strengths through the seven spheres of health, becoming “Ministers of Health” to give recommendations to CityAs about ways to help the school.

Students leave this intensive with tools, connections, and a clearer vision of the future they want to create—for themselves and for all of us.
